What is the Incubation Phase? #
The incubation phase is the training and guidance period for newly opened PODs.
- It is the first step after your POD is approved.
- During this time, you will learn how to run your POD properly, follow Apni Pathshala’s values, and manage all your responsibilities.
- The aim is to help you become confident and independent in running your POD.
How Long Does it Last? #
- Normal duration: Up to 6 months (called Phase 0).
- Extra time: In special cases, an extra 1-month buffer period may be given if needed.
- The exact time depends on how quickly your POD becomes fully functional and meets all standards.
Goals of the Incubation Phase #
During incubation, the POD team will work with you to make sure:
- Your POD setup is complete – All computers, internet connection, learning space, and the Apni Pathshala banner are ready.
- You understand Apni Pathshala’s values and expectations – So you know what quality and behaviour is expected.
- You follow the regular reporting process – This includes weekly updates, videos, monthly reports, and student data.
- You are ready for full integration – This means you can run your POD without constant guidance.
What to Expect as a POD Leader #
- Weekly guidance from the incubation coordinator.
- Regular feedback on your updates and videos.
- Help in solving technical or setup issues quickly.
- Encouragement to share success stories and highlight student achievements.
- Gradual reduction in reminders as you get used to the process.
Your Role During This Time #
As a POD leader in incubation, you should:
- Share weekly class updates and required videos on time.
- Respond quickly to the coordinator’s messages or calls.
- Keep your learning space clean, organised, and ready for classes.
- Work with your teacher to make sure students are engaged and learning well.
- Be open to feedback and willing to make improvements.
End of the Incubation Phase #
When the incubation period is over, your POD will be reviewed based on:
- Quality and completeness of setup.
- Consistency and quality of updates and videos.
- Your team’s commitment and communication.
The possible outcomes are:
- Promotion to full POD – You join the main network.
- Extension – You get more time to meet the required standards (rare).
- Closure – If performance is poor and no improvement is seen.
