Who can start an Apni Pathshala Learning POD?
Any individual, organization, or nonprofit can apply to establish a new Apni Pathshala learning pod in their area. If you have the space and the intention to provide educational opportunities to students in your community, we provide the necessary computers and infrastructure.
We review hundreds of applications each month, typically approving 1 out of every 5 applications.
What do I need to know before applying?
Before applying, ensure you have the following:
– A space you own or rent, with a dedicated room of at least 20 feet x 10 feet for your Apni Pathshala learning pod.
– Tables to accommodate 10 computers and peripherals such as monitors, keyboards, and mice securely.
– Two electrical sockets per computer, one for the computer and one for the monitors.
– Extension cords are acceptable.
– A minimum internet connection of 10 MBPS, preferably on WIFI.
– Adequate manpower and resources familiar with computer operations, willing and capable of managing a computer-based learning center for at least 12 months.
What do I get from Apni Pathshala?
Here’s what you’ll receive:
• 10 x Computers CPU (Linux).
• 10 x Computer Monitors.
• 10 x USB Webcams.
• 10 x Wired Headphones.
• 10 x Wired Keyboard+Mouse.
In return, we expect you to adhere to a predetermined learning plan, share weekly and monthly updates, and actively participate in our communities of learners and POD leads. Additionally, you must ensure that all students feel welcome in your learning center and create an environment that fosters learning and sharing opportunities.
Can I charge a fee from my students?
Absolutely. You’re free to charge a fee from your learners, and we do not want any part of it. We encourage POD leads to monetize their services as it helps them sustain their centers and add more services, providing more value to their students.
How to claim the device warranty?
The devices have 3 year standard warranty for claim you should connect to pod coordinator .

Is the PC donated to the pod?
No, the PC is not donated. It is provided on a 15-month lease under a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). After the lease period ends, the pod is required to renew the agreement to continue using the PC.
Can the pod receive additional PCs?
Yes, but only after completing one year of operations. The pod’s performance and consistency will be evaluated by the Apni Pathshala team. If the updates and overall progress meet the required standards, the pod may become eligible for additional PCs after verification.
Does the pod need to pay anything to Apni Pathshala?
No, Apni Pathshala does not charge anything for the pod, even if the pod starts generating a profit.
