Using Free Open Educational Resources (OERs)
Open educational resources (OERs) make learning fun, free, available, accessible, and meaningful. Think of this as a buffet from which you can pick and choose to feed any student’s curiosity! At ApniPathshala Learning Pods, we make extensive use of OERs to promote student-directed learning. This means kids aren’t restricted to learning only what’s in their textbooks; they can explore their own interests and passions.
However, there are two problems with OERs, which represent a paradox. First, very few parents and teachers know about them. Second, when they do stumble across them, they find that there are so many that they don’t know how to make good use of them. This is where ApniPathshala comes in. We help students navigate the vast ocean of OERs, guiding them to the most relevant and enriching resources available.

National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)
NIOS developed its own OER project to supply free educational resources for vocational streams. This open university initiative ensures that students have access to high-quality materials without any cost.
Project OSCAR
This IIT-Bombay enterprise houses a sizable collection of scientific and technology-based animations and simulations. It aims to instruct undergraduate and postgraduate students in diverse scientific topics, consequently influencing their careers.
BeyondExams
BeyondExams is a not-for-profit edtech startup offering free educational resources. Whether you want to learn a new skill, prepare for school or university exams, or explore topics beyond your curriculum, BeyondExams has learning material for all your needs.
National Digital Library of India
Managed by IISc, Bangalore, this initiative involves 21 institutes across India. It aims to make a variety of rare, unprotected works by numerous authors accessible online, gathered from libraries all around India.
NCERT
The NCERT website provides textbooks and resources for school students and institutions. Available in Hindi, English, and Urdu, these resources are an initiative by the CBSE body of India to support learning at all levels.
