Introduction:
If someone told you 100 students could each build their own website in just one week, you’d probably laugh. It sounds impossible, right? But at Apni Pathshala, we love proving the impossible wrong.
This is the story of the 100 Websites in a Week Challenge, how it started as a wild idea, became a national challenge, and ended up being one of our most inspiring success stories yet.
We put Gamma AI at the center of the project and informed every POD (Point of Digital Learning) about it. To our surprise, students learned it faster than expected and built their own websites within days. The real heroes of this initiative were the POD teachers, who ensured not a single student was left behind.
What began as a vision from our founder, Dr. Anirudha Malpani, became a powerful proof that with the right tools and determination, digital skills are for everyone, not just the privileged few.
Breaking the Digital Wall:
In India, there’s a digital wall that keeps many students, especially in rural and underserved areas, away from opportunities.
If you want to know more about a company, you search for it online and find its website. But for most students, having their own website has always been out of reach, due to a lack of resources, skills, and guidance.
For privileged students, creating a website may seem normal. But for middle-class and rural students, it was once unthinkable. This challenge was designed to change that.
Our founder, Dr. Malpani, envisioned a future where every student has their own digital presence, a place to showcase their skills, achievements, and personality. The 100 Websites in a Week Challenge was our first bold step to break that wall.
Why We Chose Gamma AI
We needed a tool that was fast, easy to learn, and accessible to beginners. Gamma AI fits perfectly.
- No coding skills required – Students could build professional-looking websites without programming.
- Quick setup – Websites could be created in hours, not days.
- Customizable – Students could add their own text, images, and style.
We conducted short training sessions for POD leaders on how to use Gamma AI, and in many cases, they were teaching students the same day.
How Students Built Websites Without Coding in Just a Week
It all started on 28 July 2025, when we sent out the challenge to 10 PODs across India. The rules were simple:
- Every participating student creates their own website using Gamma AI.
- All sites must be completed and submitted by 2 August 2025.
That gave us less than 7 days.
We knew it would be tough. Some PODs had never heard of Gamma AI. Many students in rural areas were using AI tools for the first time. And our own admin team had staff on sick leave that week.
7 out of 10 PODs completed the challenge on time, with 105 students creating 105 websites within a week.
PODs That Made It Happen
Here’s how the participating PODs performed:
POD Name | State | Websites of Students |
Sodes Digital Hub | Haryana | 36 |
LFP – Tardeo | Maharashtra | 6 |
LFP – Virar | Maharashtra | 26 |
SOF | Kerala | 9 |
Yusuf Meherally Centre | Gujarat | 7 |
Uva Jagriti Sansthan | Rajasthan | 21 |
Special mention to LFP-Tardeo and Uva Jagriti Sansthan for their exceptional creativity and dedication.

It’s hard to showcase every website our students created, so we’ve picked just a few highlights to give you a glimpse of their amazing work.
The Challenges We Overcame
It wasn’t as simple as it sounds. We faced several hurdles:
- Tight timeline –Less than a week to train POD leaders and students.
- Varied readiness—Some PODs had to learn Gamma AI from scratch.
- Rural limitations—Many rural students were using AI tools for the first time.
- Staff shortages—Half of the POD admins were on leave for personal reasons.
- Other commitments—PODs had ongoing responsibilities that diverted attention.
Despite these, the team spirit, teacher commitment, and student enthusiasm turned the challenge into a success story.
Conclusion:
This wasn’t just about creating websites.
It was about breaking the digital wall.
For many students, having a website was their first step into the digital future. It gave them a sense of ownership, confidence, and visibility that they never imagined possible.
We proved that with the right vision, the right tools, and the right support, even 100 websites in a week is possible. If this is what we achieved with 10 PODs, imagine what we can do with 100 PODs.

WOW!! This is a big achievement and a very strategic approach to hit two birds with one stone by letting students explore a new tool like Gamma AI while also giving them experience building a personal website. Well Done Apni Pathshala Team 🔥
